I am a writer and a published author, with another book on the way. I joined NAIWE a couple of years ago, but never took advantage of the memberships, which I will remedy now. Kevin Bruns is an accomplished public affairs professional with 25 years of experience in senior policy and communications positions on Capitol Hill, with public affairs firms, and as a consultant. A highly regarded writer, he writes for a range of audiences and in a range of styles and formats, including research papers, policy analysis, articles, media statements, congressional testimony and Web copy. An attorney, Kevin worked on Capitol Hill for ten years, where he held legislative and committee counsel positions, handling health care, education, tax, federal budget and banking. He served as executive director of America’s Student Loan Providers, a coalition of student loan organizations. In that capacity, he appeared on NPR, Marketplace radio and C-Span’s Washington Journal and was quoted widely on higher education financing issues. His strongest background is in health policy, education and the pharmaceutical industry.
