I have 14 years of professional writing experience and a bachelors degree in journalism. For six years, I wrote healthcare marketing pieces as well as speeches and presentations for a community hospital and 100+ physician group in the Chicago area, winning multiple awards from the Heathcare Marketing Report. At First Health, a managed care organization, I wrote and edited for the client website and supervised a group of six writers. I have over eight years of experience writing for local newspapers and magazines, winning first place in the Northern Illinois Newspaper Association Contest. As a freelance writer, I have written for an ad agency, dental practice, motivational bootcamp for youth and homebuilder. Throughout the years, I have planned and executed special events, from medical clinic grand openings to community health presentations.
Currently, I’m earning a certificate in copy editing from mediabistro.com because I have always excelled at grammar, punctuation and reworking copy so it shines.
