The book is almost finished, and it’s hard not to tinker more with earlier chapters. But it’s time to let them be! Some literary agents are interested in seeing part or all of it. After all this time, I still love my characters and want to finish the sequel I started.

I think back to the book’s inception and early drafts many years ago–and its near loss the first time I traveled to Korea. In my mind’s eye, I can still see the crowd of dark-haired kids surrounding my broken Apple laptop at the repair shop in Busan. It was such a novelty back then. Coming upon that scene, I was sure the computer and everything on it was lost. Thankfully, five laptops later, the book is in its final chapters. It has been a labor of love, most definitely.
